Monday 13th November 2017, Kayak.fr revealed in an exclusive interview with Relaxnews, that regarding the winter destination, French and foreign skiers agree to prefer the Chamonix ski resort (Haute-Savoie), situated at the foot of the Mont Blanc.
Chamonix in the lead ahead of Megève and Val Thorens in the ranking
According to Relaxnews, in addition to their preference for Chamonix, the French and foreign skiers appreciate in general the French Alps. No Pyrenean destination or in the Vosges and Jura do not receive a place in the ranking drawn by Kayak.

Very frequented by the international clientele, the Megève ski resort is more popular with French tourists who rank it second in the national ranking. By opting for a flight to Geneva, a round trip costs them €94 on average, against €100 if they choose Lyon.
The third choice for French skiers is Val Thorens ski resort.

Where do the French people ski abroad?
If France is a favorite destination for its snowy mountains, French skiers do not hesitate to getaway to enjoy the foreign snow.
They do not go too far preferring the Pas de la Casa, on the border of Spain and Andorra. The average price of a hotel night is also the most economical, about €158. Otherwise, athletes are eyeing Austria, including the resort of Sankt Anton am Arlberg, or Italy, by going to Courmayeur.
