According to Le Dauphine, on 24 November 2019, in the morning, an electrician who was working on maintenance in a cabin at the Aiguille du Midi cable car was stuck in the heights following an engine failure.

The Aiguille du Midi cable car in which the electrician was working was out of service.
The man was able to quickly call for the PGHM of Chamonix and one hour later, the rescuers arrived with the Choucas 74 helicopter.
Fortunately, the electrician was safe and sound, but he might remember this special maintenance operation for a very long time.
